Let us look at drug addiction. This horrible, deadly, torturous condition that has no mercy on human beings. When we look at drug addiction from a reality perspective, it would never be possible to start in an individual, unless he or she chose to experiment with a drug, whether a tobacco product or an intoxicant. As we know cigarettes are as addictive as heroin, and as deadly. So a drug does not have the ability to cause addiction, it needs help from a human who is foolish enough to try it, or one who is ignorant related to its consequences. Once a person starts the use of a drug, and likes the effect, more than likely the usage will result in an increase in use, and eventually addiction.
Just like a drug does not have the ability to cause addiction by itself, and needs the help of a human being to fulfill its intent, it therefore cannot stop a human from resisting further usage of a drug, and recover completely from drug addiction, whenever one chooses to do so.
