Drug addiction is such a debilitating problem, or you can call it a disease. I know some people do not believe it is a disease. However, we can all agree that it is a treacherous, torturous condition, that results in unlimited suffering, significant losses, and deaths. When we look at countries around the world, many of them have dictators, where rights are being taken away, and many are tortured and placed in prison. These dictators rule with persecution and oppression. IF you look at the drug addicted person, the same types of emotional trauma, (anger, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, guilt, pessimistic outlook on life, shame, mentally imprisoned by drugs, where you can only make decisions that are allowed by the drug, etc.), it is basically the same condition. There are also numerous physical sufferings derived from the different illness directly caused by drug abuse, and many are in our vital organs, (Heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, pancreas, brain, stomach), etc. Then we have the serious damage that is done to the skin, where abscess are formed due to intravenous, or intradermal injections that are given, resulting in infections that can become so severe, that amputations of the arms, hands, legs, and feet have occurred. Let us look at the meaning of persecution. “ To afflict or harass constantly so as to injure or distress. To trouble or annoy constantly”. When we look at the mental and physical condition of the drug addicted person, persecution is identical. Let’s look at the meaning of oppression. “To weigh heavily on the mind, spirit or senses. To worry, to trouble, to keep down by the cruel or unjust use of power or authority. Rule harshly by a tyrant, who is a cruel master, oppressive ruler who seized power illegally. To crush, and trample down with no mercy. What is fascinating here, the drug addicted person is paying thousands of dollars for this high level of torture, when in reality, drug addicted people are pleasure seekers. How does this confusion happen, and how can we help change the mind to a healthy way of thinking by overcoming drug addiction. The first thing you must do is read my book “Drug Addiction And The Most Powerful Enemy Against IT – A Recovering Sober Mind”.
